Sep 21, 2007 domain name system - Microsoft DNS - Server Fault I've just had an issue arrise that I cannot seem to solve. I recently set up a Windows Server 2008 DC with DNS and DHCP and all has been working fine, but I discovered today that when I go into the DNS Manager I get the following issue: DNS. Access was denied. Would you like to add it anyway? The DNS snap-in reports that it Cannot contact the DNS Server… Jan 07, 2011 Slot 2: Dns client is unable to connect to name server Full description: DNS client is unable to contact a DNS server. This may happen when the datamover cannot reach the peer DNS server because of network problems. This happens on regular basis. Please let me know if someone has resolved this issue.
