Oct 02, 2009 · Ok I searched on the forums and only found 13 topics concerning the mybook so posting the problem to you all and hopefully will get a response as WD and their site have been of no help in the matter. Already called them and they told me to call my router manufacturer, go figure. Now to the WD Mybook Live: problems installing I am having problems installing a WD My Book Live on my windows 8 system. My only issue is that it is not big enough and I kinda keep waiting for it to die so that I can buy another bigger network drive from western digital. If you did, then next time you plug the WD MyBook to the Mac, the WP Unlocker will not start automatically - it is a glitch i have seen only with the MyBook. Since the unlocker will not show up, the hard drive will remain unseen by the mac. I have a WD My Passport and this problem does not exist.
