May 13, 2020 · Hello, I've got Windows 7 and recently I don't know what has happened. My internet is connected, I can use download existing torrent files, and I can also run messengers such as skype, but I cant access Internet Explorer nor can I ping sites. Check Internet Connection. First, check your internet connection. Email is reliant on internet access. Open a web browser or what you normally use to access the internet and try to go to several simple webpages like Google.com or Newegg.com. If you can not pull up these pages, then you may have an internet connectivity problem. Ensure the cable does not exceed 10 feet. A longer cable may degrade the signal. Ensure you are using an Internet splitter on your Internet telephone cable to ensure there is no interference with your telephone service. Check your IP. When a valid Internet connection is made, your computer or laptop will obtain an IP address of 192.168.X.X. Run into a problem which I am unable to fix fully. I have been using XP for some time on virtual box and it has been fine. Recently though I am not getting any connection to the internet. Connections seems to be limited or no connectivity. The work around that I am having to do is re mount the image and then the internet works.
